Rank by Relevance in PubMed

Traditionally PubMed has generated results by the order in which articles were added to the index--most recent additions to the oldest.

Now there's a new feature that lets you sort the results by relevance--articles at the tops of these lists will be the most closely related to your search terms, regardless of when they were added to the database.

To activate a relevance sort either use the new feature link (which will probably only be available temporarily) on the results page, or click on the Display dropdown arrow, select "Relevance" from the list, and click Apply.
