CQ Researcher, which provides overviews and analytical essays on a variety of hot topic and current event issues, is a useful starting point for research. You get the basics about an issue as well as its background, the outlook, and pro and con arguments.
If you're using a CQ Research report as a source, there is an easy citation tool. Just click the CiteNow! link at the top of the report. A window will open showing the citation in APA style. You can change the display to show Bluebook, Chicago, or MLA style. In addition, if you use a bibliographic citation tool, you can export the citation to EndNote, ProCite, Reference Manager, or RefWorks. (RefWorks is the bibliographic manager used at CBU; it's available to all students, faculty, staff members and alumni.)
