Get Books from Local Libraries

What if we don't have a book you need, but the U of M library has it?

CBU students, faculty, and staff can borrow books from many local college libraries. Just show them your current CBU ID, and they'll issue a special borrower card enabling you to check out books. (Students from neighboring schools often come to CBU to check out our books as well.)

You can borrow books from:
  • LeMoyne-Owen College
  • Memphis College of Art
  • Memphis Theological Seminary
  • Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary
  • Rhodes College
  • Southwest Tennessee Community College
  • University of Memphis
  • Victory University

For more details and links to their catalogs, see our Policies page and scroll down to Local Libraries.

TIP: Use WorldCat to see if a nearby library has a book you need. Search for the book title. On the book's information page, click on "Worldwide libraries own this item." A list of libraries that own the book will appear, in order of how close they are to your zip code.
