DOAB, or the Directory of Open Access Books, is designed to make academic books published on the open access model easy to find. DOAB provides searchable/browsable indexes to these works. Basic and advanced search options are available. Browse options are title, subject, and publisher. Links to the full text of the books are included, allowing users to connect to the book wherever it is held--at a publisher's website or an institutional repository. You can read the books online; if you want a copy of your own, there's a "Buy the Book" link that provides a list of online sellers. These are recent works, most published in the past decade.
All subjects are covered: arts and architecture, biology and life sciences, chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, languages and literature, law and political science, mathematics and statistics, and more.
Over 1500 scholarly monographs are currently available, from 54 publishers.
