Copyright and Student Presentations

When it comes to copyrighted material and permissions, student presentations in the classroom fall under the same fair use guidelines as instructors' activities.

If students post their presentations to the web, or place them into e-portfolios, however, they would have to request permission to use any copyrighted material they may have incorporated into the presentations--images, photos, charts, graphs, etc.
