Literature Online Reference and RefWorks

The Literature Online Reference database includes many fulltext resources: biographies of authors, entries in reference works, introductions to classic works, as well as articles from journals. Citation information for most of the resources in the database can be exported to various citation managers to help you in building your bibliographies. (Citations for Literature Online Reference's multimedia resources lack export capability, however.)

When you've found a resource that you think you may want to cite, look to the top of the page and click "Download Citation." This opens a page with many citing options, including RefWorks, the citation tool we have available here at CBU. Next click "Export directly to RefWorks" which opens your RefWorks account (you may have to log in) and deposits the citation information into your RefWorks database.

If you have never used RefWorks, you first must create a personal account. Then you can save references to articles, books, and other resources that you are researching; make notes about them; and generate bibliographies. For more information, see our RefWorks page.

RefWorks is available to students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Christian Brothers University.
