In Knovel: Chemical Engineering Design

Our subscription to Knovel now includes Gavin Towler and Ray Sinnott's Chemical Engineering Design - Principles, Practice and Economics of Plant and Process Design (Elsevier, 2nd Ed., 2013) in ebook form.

It's a complete introductory text to the subject of chemical engineering and is useful for students throughout their education in the field. Divided into two parts--one on process design and the other on plant design, the book's chapters cover such topics as flowsheet development, process simulation, capital cost estimation, optimizing design, separation of fluids, and heat-transfer equipment. Downloadable EXCEL (TM) spreadsheets are included under Supplementary Material to use for various calculations. Appendices include graphic symbols for piping systems, a corrosion  chart, physical properties, and more.

Knovel eBooks are available online to students, faculty, and staff at Christian Brothers University.
