Tennessee History: Volunteer Voices

Volunteer Voices is the central website for searching digital collections from throughout Tennessee, collections that document our state's culture and history. Material comes from the Knox Country Public Library's McClung Historical Collection, Middle Tennessee State University's Digital Collections, the Tennessee Virtual Archive, Nashville Public Library's Digital Collections, the online Tennessee Encyclopedia of History and Culture, and Volunteer Voices' original project, "The Growth of Democracy in Tennessee." Content includes farming history, the Civil War in Tennessee, broadsides, politics, women's suffrage, and the Scopes Trial.

Volunteer Voices is provided to the state by TennShare and the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL)
