Spooky Films

Our streaming video collections, VAST and Films on Demand, contain several spooky selections to get you in the Halloween spirit.

Nosferatu (1922) - This silent classic features what many consider to be the scariest vampire ever depicted on film.

In Search of the Real Frankenstein (2006) -  The story of Johann Konrad Dipple, a brilliant scientist caught up in the dark world of alchemy and body snatching.

Turn of the Screw (2000) - Masterpiece Theater adaptation of Henry James' psychological thriller.

Origins of the Vampire (1993) - Leonard Nimoy narrates this special covering the historical and cultural origins of vampire mythology.

Mary Shelley: Birth of Frankenstein (2006) - "This program offers a fresh exploration of her novel, focusing on how Shelley’s personal life influenced the book and mirrored it afterwards."
